Jeepneys are the most popular means of public transportation in the Philippines. They were originally made from US military jeeps left over from World War II and are known for their flamboyant decoration and crowded seating.
The annoying things when riding a jeepney:

1. Even if it is actually full already, the driver still trying to fit another.
2. Much worse is when the last rider weighs 200 lbs!
3. You must pay the exact fare fee simply because when you pay 100 peso bill, your change will be purely coins!
4. If the fare is 6.50 and you pay 7.00, do not expect the 50 cents to be returned to you. (Ironically, if you pay 6.00 only, will the driver accept it?)
5. If you pay 20 bills, the driver will not give your change unless you remind him with “Yung change po ng 20?”
6. When a passenger next to you is a woman (or a transgender), her hair will definitely blows in your face or sometimes you can eat it!

7. If there is a group of girls in the jeepney expect them to be noisy as if they are the only people aboard.
8. There are couples that feel so much in love that they hold each others’ hand or the guy steel a kiss in her cheek and the girl then cuffs her boyfriend as though she is about to pee.
9. If the driver will not hear your “PARA” to stop the vehicle, expect that you will exceed in your destination that you have to walk longer.
10. If you are the last to ride, you will definitely felt so tired and your endurance will be tested due to the too small space for your seat.
11. The first persons who rode the jeepney intentionally provide more space on their chair for personal comfort (If this is you, you have definitely done this before) and if you were the last person to ride, you will surely burn large amount of energy just to squeeze your butt on the less space provided.
12. If you are at the driver’s seat, your leg will definitely hit by the joystick.
13. Finally, when you are about to board or get down of the jeep, it is often you bump your head on the gelatin-shaped like light on its ceiling.
